Having weathered the storm through the valley, the regiment ploughing through the Russian artillery, and smashed straight into the cavalry beyond, but had insufficient forces to consolidate its position and was forced to withdraw, once again under fire of the Russian guns. In the fiasco, the regiment lost over 40 men, including three officers.
