Over 100 Komsomolets tractors were converted to this tank destroyer hybrid.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe first ZiS-30 tank destroyers were sent to the Western and Southern Front in September 1941, where they performed well against Hitler's panzers. Despite their ungainly appearance, the gun could, in theory, fire up to 25 rounds a minute, although under combat conditions this is likely to be somewhat less.
