Soviet Union
Soviet losses during the opening phases of Operation Barbarossa were colossal, but the Red Army proved to be resilient and gradually it built its strength and regained the experience lost during Stalin's purges. After the tenacious defence of Stalingrad, the Soviets were always on the attack, their "Deep Battle" philosophy being bruatlly effective if costly in men.
With Lend Lease providing trucks and essential resources, Soviet industry could concentrate on churning out war winning tanks like the T-34 and KV- series, as well as mountains of artillery.
