Ossiarch Bonereapers Return – New Units Available for Pre-Order This Saturday
The legions of Nagash march again.
This Saturday at Battle City Games, the next wave of Ossiarch Bonereapers arrives for pre-order, bringing brand-new battlefield roles, terrifying constructs, and a refreshed tactical identity for Death armies in Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
Games Workshop have expanded the faction beyond its traditional shield-wall playstyle, this release adds speed, mobility tricks, and control mechanics that make the Bonereapers feel less like an immovable object and more like a calculating military machine.

Mortek Triaxes – Soul-Seared Archers
The Bonereapers finally gain dedicated ranged infantry.
Mortek Triaxes are skeletal archers designed not just to damage enemies but to psychologically dismantle them. Their arrows carry balefire energy that spreads debilitating terror across nearby units, reducing battlefield control and forcing opponents to choose between healing or staying functional.
In gameplay terms, these aren’t just shooters, they’re objective denial specialists. Expect them to change how Bonereapers contest territory.
Liege-Kavalos on War Chariot
Bonereapers… fast?
The Liege-Kavalos now commands from a war chariot, turning elite cavalry tactics into devastating impact attacks. These commanders grant defensive buffs to nearby chariots and can order coordinated charges that deal mortal damage before combat properly begins.
They’re built for aggressive tempo play. Something the army historically lacked.
Kavalos War Chariot
The chariots themselves smash through battlelines, reposition after impact, and pin enemy units in place.
Expect flanking maneuvers, broken formations, and suddenly exposed backlines.
Mortis Reapers – Assassins of the Bone Tithe

The quietest addition may be the most dangerous.
Mortis Reapers teleport between terrain features, drop clouds of grave-sand to deal mortal damage, and escape before retaliation. They act like objective raiders, appearing, crippling a unit, and vanishing again.
This gives Death players real board-wide threat projection for the first time in the faction’s history.
Liege-Mortek – Tactical Coordinator
The new battlefield officer enables nearby units to fight or shoot immediately after his attack, even granting shooting in combat.
This turns normally predictable Bonereaper formations into reactive combined-arms units.
Battletome: Ossiarch Bonereapers
Alongside the miniatures, the updated battletome brings faction rule changes and the new tactical identity that ties everything together.
