Get started with Blood Red Skies and get up to speed with everything the game has to offer (so far) with the Scramble! Collection. In addition to the Battle of Midway starter set, this collection arms you with the full Blood Red Skies expanded rules via two compendiums, the Ops Room Card Deck, and take your dogfights into the jet age with the newly revised MiG Alley!
The collection contains the following:
Battle of Midway: Themed around the furious carrier battles that changed the course of the war in the Pacific theatre, the Battle of Midway starter set contains everything you need to get playing Blood Red Skies, including rules, tokens, dice, game cards, and, most crucially, 12 highly detailed aircraft with which to battle – six Grumman F4F Wildcats and six Mitsubishi A62M ‘Zeroes’.
MiG Alley!: 'MiG Alley' was the name given by the United Nations (UN) pilots during the Korean War for the northwestern portion of North Korea, where the Yalu River empties into the Yellow Sea. This boxed set contains four aircraft (two F-86 Sabres and two MiG 15s), plus all the aircraft cards, pilot discs, traits doctrine and equipment cards you need to take your games of Blood Red Skies into the Jet Age!
Air Strike: A rules compendium that presents all of the rules from the original Blood Red Skies launch and adds many new ones suitable for expanded air operations: ground and sea targets, bombing, strafing and torpedo attacks, defensive flak and terrain. Jet aircraft are introduced with the MiG Alley expansion and there is additional guidance for historic and competitive play. The book includes twelve scenarios in total, some of which have been refined from previous incarnations following community feedback.
Wing Commander: This is a compendium of additions and expansions to the game largely developed and tested by the dedicated Blood Red Skies community, and curated by the game’s author, Andy Chambers. Inside you’ll find advice for beginners, advice for designing your own scenarios, more rules to expand MiG Alley games, a short carrier war campaign, and a longer more expansive campaign that allows for narrative progression, amongst other features.
Ops Room Card Deck (FREE): This comprises every Theatre and Doctrine card published to date plus twelve entirely new ones (5 new Theatre cards and 7 new Doctrines). The Ops Room is an essential tool for tactically-minded squadron leaders.
